Black Sheep and Proud

Dear Clan,

What's wrong with you all?

You brought us up with that indoctrination to always choose for ourselves. Be independent, dare to be different, explore the world and keep on learning, stand up for what we believe in and always know who and what kind of a person we want to be ... stay in that purpose and just be, no matter what ...

0a.jpg

and just when we did just all that ...

and when what we choose to become no longer meets your expectations, no longer satisfies your whims, no longer agrees to the standard that you have chosen to walk on and gets you to loose control over us ...

you start calling us ... the family's black sheep.

1.jpg

So clan, what's that all that sort of "badmouthing" about?

We're black sheep because you can no longer make us dance on your palms?

Is it cause we're awake to the fact that we do not have the need to possess that very same outlook in life you have?

Is it cause you feel left out when we let you experience exactly how you made us feel about being independent?

Is it cause you feel abandoned when we went exploring what the world has to offer us and got busy trying to better ourselves to get to live the life we've always dreamed of as you taught us to?

Is it cause we broke away from the traditions and rituals you brought us up into?

Is it because you can't accept the fact that we have chosen to be who we are now - different from you - unleashed from all the cultural obligations you tried chaining our ankles to?

Is it because we no longer play that role of being your obedient marionettes and that finally ... you are now awake to that fact far from your illusions that you own us like you used to think you do?

Well clan ... if its wrong to be a black sheep I don't ever want to be white nor right.

I'm a black sheep and proud!

Yours truly,
Black Sheep

Why is it that ... when one's standard, point of view or choice of path in life differs from a group, no matter who that person is, bloodline or not, we tend to disagree with and automatically deviate from ... as if their being who they are tends to question our norms and perspectives in life for being right or wrong ... when really, it's not about being right nor who's opinion is wrong. It's all just ~~ ...

- being different.

I wonder whether there'd be a time, when the world really, really - learns to live and let live, for each of us actually have the right .. to be ...

You, are you the family's black sheep or are you one of the whites? If any of your family member dares to be different from everything that defines your family, are they also tagged as a black sheep? Why?

Me? am coated mocha ... tagged a black sheep and proud!

Thank you for posting dear @englishtchrivy.

A very humourous post mon ami.....lambs/sheep are a fav.

Yes....mutual admiration societies....MAS form not realizing it is the differences that form a lovely tapestry.

I had not thought of role model arrogance in a while.......thank you.....yes.....those who think because you are a this you cannot do that. Yet we all individually answer to our Maker not to man.

Lovely photographs and thought provoking post. Well done.

Wishing you a lovely weekend mon ami. ^__^

All the best.

Cheers.

xox!

thank you mon ami ...
am glad you found it funny, I almost used that tag and the whysoserious tag, too but I didn't want to ruin the message it has to get through so I pulled back :D

it took me a while to finally decide to post it actually ...
I guess it's been well accepted anyway ...

yes, it's hard to be different and be often out of the kennel ;) haha
I guess it's more of a generation gap / seniority complex issue that makes it hard
acceptance and open mindedness is the key to letting most black sheep live happily as well

to the lamb and sheep it doesn't seem to be an issue heh? :D

cheers mon ami !
take care and have a great weekend!

Aaaw! That black sheep is beautiful! :D

I think so, too :)

It is very human if one is different then he becomes "black sheep", sometimes you notice that from the early ages once children in nursery, so that means it is in us from the very origin, this is our nature. The education of our children and explaining them why and what from early age will form the person his character, views and opinions.

I was always wondering if in animal world it is the same, like in your example with black and white sheep. When I was a child I loved white and did not black sheep, but of course nowadays because they are a bit rare I like black more. So the taste changes just depending on the circumstances and environment, I believe so.

I'd like to think that - it is just nature :)
natural, normal ..

I never had any preference over white or black sheep, I didn't have an orientation about colors so actually when I first saw a black sheep here, it just stood out but they all feel the same to me :)

In situations like these, my mother had a saying, neither better nor worse, just different, as a child she raised us to see things in her own way. !different!
If more people learn to see the world like this, everything would be different.
beautiful pictures dear friend @ englishtchrivy, congratulations for the beautiful shots.
I wish you a wonderful weekend

thank you
you must have a very wise, loving mom :)

i love sheeps and goat
and in my openion all sheeps are same

Frist time i see black sheep.our country cheep color semi red @englishtchrivy

Those sheep are really cute and lovely.

Very beautiful photos..

We are who we are and no norms or teachings should disgrade our norms or culture.. I am who I am and nothing gonna change that nor norms or any believe... Every culture has its pride and such pride should not be taken or buy with anything Cox our norms and culture are priceless... colour separation, believe and diverse cultures should not be problem, Mr./Mrs. A should Respect B .... Respect is require from everyone to others to honour our diverse cultures, believes and norm's there shouldn't not be norm's or culture barrier pose over others.. this is how Oneness can be archive, else archiving Oneness will be difficult.

Re-steemed.

Sometimes a radical difference from a group or family is regarded as rebels or outcasts. But I think it's just a personal choice. Everyone makes his own choice.
Cool sheep in the photos. I really want to touch them. Were you able to touch them during the visit? I think their fur is very soft. :)

thank you!
exactly that !

the tiny ones were below the dike
so I couldn't
the big ones, yes
they're very tame
they're too huge, too
they'll look you straight in the eyes it kind'a freak you out inside
but they're very tame and soft and they also don't stink at all

They are very cute :) I look at them and can't figure out who I like more - this black or this white, heh,
their eyes really have a wise look. This monologue on behalf of the sheep is very consistent with her view. Thank you!

nice sheep there, looks cool and elegant in black

a funny goat. I have never seen a goat of this type in my place.

We really can learn from this .Not only in these animals but in our society as well.

Sometimes being different is a gift but most of the people in the society does not take it that way. While hope they do change the way of thinking and get real out in here.

I do really liked the way that you described beautifully with the Black sheep.

Being different is indeed unique gift !

Few of them have long ears. quite unusual for me to see that.

I didn't notice that till now :)
haha

haha.... you confirm it's not just me.

The only thing I really dislike about black sheep is that it is much more difficult to get the lighting right when you take a photo.

you're damn right about that
you need to get closer or have them out in the open to get them on the right tone on the pic :)

Sheers to all black sheeps! Life would be less fun if we all where the same. But I wish it was easier to be different.
Great post and cute pictures <3

cheers! ^ ^
so I take it you're one as well :)

I think it's hard when the black sheep is young, cause we all tend to long to be understood, accepted and just be let be by the society when we're young but at a certain age of maturity, being black sheep gets easy when one accepts that he or she is and when we do, a whole new world opens, free from the longing of the validation of the whites into the openness of seeing the difference and finding the right companion and set of people around you makes it a lot easier, too because like minds make it easier to understand and accept each other, and even the white sheep shares the same experiences :)

I love black sheep. Especially when they are lambs. I always look at the black one and think, he's the one plotting. Is he gonna jump the fence? Is he going to just try chew his way out. They always strike me as the troublemakers and mischievous ones. They are the cool sheep who just can't be bothered to toe the line.

Awesome post. Really makes you think.

thank you

I totally understand why you have such an impression. Most of the time, the black sheep look the naughtiest and the bravest, too
In this pics, if you take a look at their stare, they seem too serious, too
but really they're not all that ha ha ha

figuratively, the society sort of tagged people like so as well, "troublemakers, mischievous " when there's so many other adjectives that could positively explain such behaviors really - like adventurous, brave, daring and so on and so forth, but the world has done such a standard conditioning on people that mostly .. just those two words you've mentioned has been used but it's alright because that's probably made life more challenging for the both the black and the white sheep :)

Luvved this post! Have followed and look forward to reading more from you.

Two things in return from me:

  1. #BlackLivesMatter
  2. A track from me to you. A song so powerful (to me) I have shed a tear before now while singing it.
