Say hi to Eve from the past, almost 5 years ago. Is there anyone out there who remembers seeing these pictures way back when in you-know-where?
This was me playing dress up as a 50s housewife in an abandoned house. I was still working as a cook, which can be determined from my nails; short and unpainted, so ugly. I was sporting the dark hair for 10 years or so, but now I’m way more happy and at home with the lightened hair, the natural colour is somewhere in between.
This dress was my graduation dress from upper secondary school and I still have and fit in it. The 50s dresses are too bright and bubbly for me really but it’s fun to play dress up.
These days I’ve luckily escaped the professional kitchen, taken a long hiatus from cooking altogether and now returned to cooking a lot at home for me and the man. I really don’t get any joy from cooking just for myself, so I’m happy to have someone to cook for.
It’s great to have found the joy in cooking and trying different recipes again. And I’m very lucky to have a partner who doesn’t really have any limitations when it comes to food, I can make what I want and the plate always comes back empty.
It’s pretty great to have been actively, almost daily, blogging on this platform for 5 years and have that record to look back on. I’ve never kept a diary but this is kinda it for me. Others won’t be able to read it without going going all Enigma on it, but I can. But what if/when I get dementia, oh boy how wild I can think my life was at times.
Ps.This is so not what I look like when I serve my man dinner, he can only dream.
