Kirby has idiopathic chylothorax. We've mostly heard that her prognosis is not good. We're not entirely sure how much is vets trying to discourage us from seeking the surgery because it doesn't always work. It also seems like some places do it better than others. That's an interesting thing to think about that I don't always do. That some surgeons are just not as good, and so might fail to do it good enough where others would have a successful surgery...
Frustrating to not really know what the surgeon is like going into it.
