After the five days of correcting the system, it's indeed looking like a good, successful hardfork.
However, five days of not being able to use the Steem platform in any meaningful way is a bit long for me.
Luckily most of it has settled in now, so we can finally enjoy the benefits of this hardfork.

Lol, five days can feel like an eternity for us Steemians. I hear ya! But in the grand scheme of things, this ultra important "fork" in the road, will presumably propagate for years now. So but a mere five days of our time forfeited for the overall bigger picture of the Steem blockchain? It's not too bad, I reckon... :)
Indeed, I'd rather be unable to use Steem for five days than have to sit with all those spammers for the next couple of years.
This is probably much less of a problem for you, but only being able to post eleven things per five days is quite limiting. On the other hand, it does encourage you to write quality content, which I think will be a major positive change for the Steem platform.
About that pay to play, that does work out nice with this low RC count. You have to put a lot of work in your posts, because you have limited opportunities. And time is money, so essentially I'm paying to use Steem. :)
Let's just hope that my "quality content" will be enough to be a little more active here on Steem.
You got the right mindset, man. Posting and investing to how I and a few others I know on here, got to where we are. Everybody starts out at the beginning and will have journeyed to their current destination through time, money and effort.
You can do the same, without a doubt. It's most definitely not too late at all! :)
