So i wanted to do a post on my anxiety that i deal with every day, and what it looks and feels like for ME. For those that don't have it, be thankful, and those that do, some of this might feel a bit familiar to you.
For me, my anxiety can come out of nowhere without notice. My biggest issue is social anxiety. I don't enjoy being in busy areas with lots of people, it makes me very nervous. I used to DREAD going to Walmart and things like that. I don't enjoy big social gatherings either. I also get anxiety attacks when I'm at work and things start to get a bit hectic.
The best way i can describe what it feels like, is getting into ice cold water up to your neck. I start to breath heavy, like i can't catch my breath, and I feel like my entire world is closing in on me. It is an absolute nightmare. I also get very irritable towards everything and everyone. People probably just see it as me being a jerk. But inside
I'm totally losing it, but trying to at least visually keep it together. Sometimes I have to step away for a few minutes just to gain my composure back. Even if I'm at home and I start to get anxious, due to too much chaos, or whatever the reason may be, i have to retreat to a quiet place and just be left alone for a bit. Which probably explains why i like to work out alone, mess with my 3d printer, do leatherwork, or just general tinkering. It gives me time to be with myself and gather my thoughts and be calm in that moment... I'm on meds now for it, which they DO help, but they aren't 100%
So if anyone else suffers with Anxiety , please share what it looks like for you, and how you are able to deal with it. Sometimes its nice to know that you aren't alone with stuff like this, and my hope is that others can read this to help identify it in themselves and possibly seek treatment for it.

I didn't enjoy it, for the simple reason I understand what you're talking about. I started due to a nerve-wracking relationship. I will never forget the mental health professionals who told me to wait "tomorrow" when I told them about my anxiety or others in person who dismissed it as "it's very light".
i love it when people tell me to "calm down"... oh really, its that simple?! lol
You made me chuckle with that =)
