You Need To Recover Every day!

So many people drag on each day, Doing the same routine. They don't stop.
Instead, they make themselves ill. And later they live with so much regret.

Even as someone who is incredibly busy. I still look for ways to relax and allow myself to recover. We aren't here on this planet, To work until we die.

Technology Makes Us Busier

It's funny, Now that we have all these conveniences we all the sudden have less and less time. We no longer have to make every meal from scratch. Or have to go out to hunt for our food. And yet our lives are so full of everyday stuff that we have even less time.

Don't Be A Workaholic

I'm so guilty of this one, But this is important!
Your brain gets tired; Your body gets tired. When you push and push, You sometimes get LESS done! I Know a lot of people who will pull multiple all-nighters get stuff done. I was guilty of this too. Until I realized something; the next day I would feel so crappy I wouldn't be able to do much when I first woke up. There usually was a couple of hour delay before I felt charged enough to start working. This added up every day Until I decided to go ahead and have a normal sleep schedule to give myself a “Break.” That's when I noticed something. When I woke up early and started working, Then went to bed earlier. I had better results. I got more done.
Consistency wins the race most of the time, Not random hard pushes.

Do It For Your Mental Health

A Lot of people are struggling with mental related illnesses these days. I'm not an expert. But a big portion of these issues could be that we are putting too much pressure on ourselves. Social medias paint these perfect pictures. Making it seem as though our life is inadequate. It's hard to feel good about our accomplishments When everyone else seems miles ahead.
Not only do we need to take breaks from our work, But also social media. We need to focus more on wholesome activities. So go for a run, Relax and read a book! Let yourself recover and don't overwork yourself. Coming up with good habits will do so much more for you then forcing yourself to work to death for a shorter period.

Don't Be A Workaholic. I'm also guilty of it. I sleep very late and wakeup early. I agree with you on this one. Our bodies ain't sticks.

Right? Hahhaa! Too bad we couldn't be like that all the time and still live a happy and healthy life XD

In fact I went to recover and that's why I'm replying now.

Over working isn't my problem, not getting that extra hour of sleep I need when tired is! Managed to get it today though fist bumps air but you definitely need to have moderation in your day to day working, avoiding over doing yourself.
Looks at Kaylin yes you. :)

Same here! I can do just about anything ...but without the quality sleep I'm in trouble. Best wishes, - @splendorhub

This is so true, especially when we are really focus on accomplish something, is very important for us to be aware about the importance of get recovered, not only in body but especially in mind, it is a situation I have trapped myself several times, work nonstop with something in order to accomplish my goal until I get a mental exhaustion and end up wasting much more time recovering from it, than if I had have some regular smaller mental recover.

Yeah I've read motivation is like a resource and if you don't relax and let it recharge your productivity drops like a rock. I've noticed better results when working to try and use short periods of time and be as productive as possible and then take tiny breaks.

Right? Those breaks help more than just forcing yourself to do it all!

I've been trialling the Pomodoro Technique - which sounds similar to what you're talking about. It took me a long time to adjust to working this way, but long-term I've seen my overall productivity increase and I'm not working myself into OSS hell.

Great advice. Now if I could only follow it ;-)

Right? Hahahha!

@kaylinart you have 2 Blogs in one day I want you to rest now. I need you to have FULL Energy to be able and do it again tomorrow.

I totally agree rest and recuperation is absolutely important to enable us to perform from our greatest selves. Taking a time out. Everything in moderation.

Exactly. Nice post.

Thank you

Nice post! I agree that social media is stressful, and addictive. I like to take naps. :D

Right!? naps are the bomb and yes sadly social media can be a really bad addiction.

Good insights. I start my day with a long meditation and that relaxed-state lasts for hours :)

nice post!!!, thanks fo sharing!

Everyday we focus on working and making money and drag ourself down and do forget to live in the moment because we aren't ever promised tomorrow so we should make the best of everyday

Rest and recovering are indeed crucial to maintain the health of our minds and bodies. In my case it's true that technology gets in the way: another 10 minutes in Photoshop, one more video on YouTube, just one more scroll through my Steemit feed...

I'm totally guilty of this, Im up early usually 5:30 or 6 then work until 5 or later.
My future wife works from 2pm until 10, so I want to see her when she gets home, and usually don't get to sleep until 12 or 1.

Wake up at 6 and repeat the process.. I find myself mentally and physically drained by Wednesday...

Rest and recharge is important or you will get grouchy and irritable...

I might need to take a nap after

I totally agree! Technology has made us much more busy, and it makes it harder to disconnect from work. Thank you for sharing! Best wishes, - @splendorhub

Well said! Kaylinart, you made some very great points.

It's not just the hours working but it is also the hours worrying about work as well. All this adds up. It increases our stress levels and robs us of precious time we could have spent doing something much more enjoyable. Most work related stuff is not as important as we think it is. What were you doing this time last year? I bet most people can't remember. At the time it probably felt super important. We all need to take time to enjoy life.

The most important thing is to maintain the balance between the work and leisure, you don't want to be working all the time and also not laying around wasting all your time in disguise of taking rest. If you want to achieve something there is got to be a perfect balance of these and there is only you who can decide what the limits of perfect balance are !

You need to get INSPIRED everyday.

Inspired isn't a one-time thing.

Get RE-inspired non-stop!

Tottaly agree, we have to have some sort of balance between work and rest, otherwise we will and up fuked :)).

I did this a lot, wake up at 6 am and working until 2 am :)), it usualy goes ok 1-2-3-4-5 days, but after i became a zombie for some days. Now i sleep a little much longer( 6 hours), i exercise, read between the work for a little rest and i put on my planner everyday, 1 hour of doing what i desire, tv-show, music. Usualy when i feel tierd i do that for recharging my bateries and it works great for me till now.

I recomand you to try that :)

Thank You!

Excellent life is in balance. You need to find the right measure for work, development of the spirit and body, family and goals. @kaylinart

System (government) that we live in today's world is forcing us to work harder and more...we worry about bills , our kids education (should be free) and feeding our family. This system is designed to use us to the max. We are losing family values traditions and othen forget to take time off and spend it with the ones we love. Great post !

But a means to live your making, we do not make a living, we make a life.....Anyaele Sam Chiyson

I am a victim of overworking. Well, at times I know I definitely need a break as I feel like my head weighs a ton...but if I take that break, I won't get something done..and if I don't get it done, I will forgo something that I don't wanto....what do you do then?

Having a good physical activity to disconnect is key! For me it's Brazilian Jujitsu, and when I'm tired, just walking my dog in the forest. Nothing beats nature to calm and soothe your brain! Great post, thank you!

its true @kaylinart! pushing yourself by pulling random all-nighters can be counterproductive. neglecting your body's need to rest can result in you getting burned out and not being able to work. we need to rest from time to time. even if we have more things to get done on our plate, health should always come first. we should respect our body and discipline ourselves not to work too much and to balance work and play. hell, even machines has its limits when its overworked. great post kaylinart! :)
