I'll try to muse about one of your picture in regard to the lovely sentence you gifted us with:
In the second photo, we can see a rock covered by green mold, a slow growing and persistent living creature that in humans can grow slowly and with time and given the opportunity can harm the hosting person.

Just like we can see the mold in the picture and imagain it creeping and covering the rock, and he can look unharmful whatsoever, so is the lack of objectivity - in the beginning a person might know that he is not acting objectively and ignore it - he will feel a bit uncomfortable though - but in time he will get so used to his subjectivity that he will get so arrogant and start to really believe his subjective and selfish thoughts and beliefs are the subjective thing to think about the situation. Just like the mold became constant and harmless in our eyes - so is this person losing his sensitivity to truth and reality.
