It may also be a bit more insidious in some regard... as example, I can remember vivid details of all the old cartoons (yes even black and white ones). SO the question may be... did these "Programs" lock in our child brain as opposed to allowing our adult brain? Or is it just simply long term memory is far superior to short term?What was I talking about?
