What can we get the Little Boom for his birthday?

Mused the Good Lady.

Before she could blink I had whipped off my jeans to expose my superhero pants underneath.

Worry not lass, Super Daddy is here. No child shall go without a thoughtful and meaningful present on my watch!

I hurrahed myself and looked off into the high corners of the room as if hearing a coven of cats squawling for dinner way off in the distance.

Daddy-Bear. He is only going to be 4, you won't get him one of those presents that you think is amazing which will be absolutely no use to him, will you? Like the bike you got him last year, or the remote control helicopter thing you got him when he was two?

The Good Lady sounded pained as if once again having to listen to me explaining that the vegetarian faggots I had served the other night had neither meat nor faggots in them.

I shook my head and disdained to answer her. After all, what can a Mother truly know of gifts for a young lad?

Some online shuffling later and it was done.

And so it was that some days later, The Moulin Roty, children's guitar arrived.

I hauled the box upstairs and unpacked it in the attic away from prying eyes. I was astounded. It was a thing of ravishing beauty.

My eye, ever keen for guitar splendour, caressed its curves. Truly, it was a master luthier that had fashioned this piece.

The inlaid fox seemed to leap from the finish as if scenting chicken skin in a bin.

The strings, gloriously metallic over a nylon core, glistened like morning dew.

But how would it play? Would it live up to everything I had hoped for. Would the notes that were spun from its strings bewitch the listener?

Could it possibly play as good as it looked?

Alas not. I think I could get more of a tune from a carrot that had been stuck up a Badgers arse..

TLDR - Bought a guitar online for my soon to be 4-year-old. It's shit.

Now who would do something so foolish?

Hahaha!! I am not alone!!! Hurrrah! :OD

You have to be prepared though! This girl has grown up to take acting and singing lessons and is often in plays and doing Open Mic nights at local coffee houses. She loved being the center of attention back then and still does!

That sounds bloomin magic to me. I am prepared for it!!! In fact I have my hopes set on it!

It seems to detune while being played. Guess the strings have to settle a bit more. The wood has to get used to the temperature and air moisture level. 🙂

The young one will be very happy with it. It is a foxy guitar, who would not be full of joy when getting this as a birthday present. At the age of 4 it does not matter that much if it is a wee bit out off tune.

Guess those who listen to it being played maybe might. Seems like a great thing to learn some basic chords on though.

Happy birthday to your son!

It holds the amazing ability to detune as soon as you fret a string! Its incredible at not staying in tune. I have never seen the like. It is as if it has two talents, 1) looking foxy and 2) holding its strings in random tunings!!

Lol, I think he will love it though. At least it might spark an interest in it. Thats my hope. I would have shat lumps of joy at gettigna guitar for a present at a young age!

The foxy guitar that has magical strings!
He'll love it! 😎👍

My first instrument, that I got as a little kid, was a flute. Now, that thing can sound awefully off. Makes this foxy thing sound like angels singing, compared.

Things parents want to break...
At spot 1, 100%: Their kids flute. 😄

He'll soon be rockin an rollin! 🎸

At least now when he demands to join in with me he will have something to pay which isn't a plastic drum he got from somewhere. It might sound diabolical but I know he will love it. We can be a band :0)

Hehe, a flute. I can only imagine the pain they endured!!!

That’s a wonderful piece of equipment. If I get that on my birthday my life would have been different. Don’t know for the better or worse :)

As long as you never picked it up to play it then it would have all gone for the better ;OD

Ok next year, get yourself I mean the little Boom a Baby Taylor. It is 3/4 size, but dont let that fool ya. I honestly love mine and have had it for years. If I want to go and fool around over at the beach or on the boat, this is the guitar I grab. Small but sounds so sweet like all Taylors do!!! It is in many ways my fave guitar.

If my. That's pretty reasonable actually! That's the plan, If I can get him to be interested in the root one he can graduate to a real beast. Taylor guitars are the best

But how would it play? Would it live up to everything I had hoped for. Would the notes that were spun from its strings bewitch the listener?

You better get a good slider for your young lad with that guitar too mate. Because otherwise the foxy mission will be incomplete.

And you will get this:

Instead of this:

...or perhaps this };)

That is the foxy mission in a nutshell. Iwant him to get set on the road to shred glory!!

Cool! nice to know it. Although you can always also bundle that guitar with a badass flask to set your cub on the road to shred glory in case you can't find the right slider. LoL

I shall save the flask for a backup plan if he cant get picking! Or if he turns to alcohol and ends up on the street!

Oh! picking... Yeah, that also can be a fine style to get onboard the guitar. So he don't get lost too soon in the streets or the woods in his way to glory. ;)

See, it will be bound to save his life at some point. The woods can be a dangerous place!!

I've never heard that one, it's great!

Don't worry. It'll sound better once the kid uses it and doesn't put it down for a few days until it magically disappears because the instrument cleaners came and haven't returned yet.

Good old instrument cleaners. I had them out once for something quite different, they were very discrete I must say

When they do finally arrive, it would be better for business if they'd stop putting things on top of the cabinets.

They don't know what good for them!! Like wild dogs trying to open a tin of beans!!

Parenting 101

Never buy your child a device that makes noise.

Never buy them a device that makes noise without first having heard that noise!!!!

That's Parenting 201. You must learn the first principles first before you can start bending the rules. :-)

I think that is everything 201! I am normally such a great practitioner of it too!!

Oh, how long I've been waiting for a new post to tell you:

Good morning dear.
5656667.JPG

The recommendations from the manual were used. paragraph 4, indent 7.

And yes, beautiful guitar ;)

Oh yes!! That's how to kill it alright... :0D

I'm sorry, my friend, I wasn't even stopped by the fact that this post is about children. I don't repent, the waiting has driven me crazy...

Hahaha, never fear. I thought that was hilarious!!! It's exactly what goes through my head when I saw the word dear in a greeting!!

You can't unsee what you have seen something😅😂

Sounds like it would make a good WWF weapon. Or WWE. Whatever the F it's called.

The WwlW something!! It might if it was used as some kind of sonic ear destroyer!!! I have never heard anything that sounded so bad!

A happy birthday to your son in advance.

Buying things from the net is very risky. You have to be very careful.

The pictures you'd see would be very appealing, but you may not end you liking the product.

Sometimes, the product turns out well.

The guitar looks divine actually, so what's really wrong with it?

That the thing. It looked great online and it looks great in the flesh but it sounds horrible. It is simply too small to be my use as a real guitar. It will be fine as a toy though. He will love it I am sure!

I hope he loves it, because children live colours and the guitar is sure colourful.

Please extend my well wishes to him on the day, thank you

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I shall indeed!

I am sure he will love it, the fox alone will make it a winner, Tis his favourite animal :O)

Oh! Your son is exceptional then, because other kids like cats and dogs.. I like him already.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

He is very fond of foxes, ,I have no idea why. Perhaps they are his spirit animal! :OD

Haha.

He's a cool kid!

Posted via proofofbrain.io

That sounded alright.. can we hear the carrot?

The carrot is an onlyfans special!!! :0D

😂🤣 that's funny right there. I'd consider paying to watch it

Haha, good old onlyfans. Wonder what they will replace it with?

Maybe they'll go back to the good ole days when the only porn was the JC Penny catalog..

The dark days!!! At least the internet age has some advantages!

Before she could blink I had whipped off my jeans to expose my…

Dammit. Walked right into that one.

One day she will learn. One day...

Hey, it's not bullshit, the child may have hidden talents, including music, I saw the video and he better learn elsewhere ha ha ha, it's a joke, you defend yourself with the guitar, a hug from
Daddy bear for the child is the most important, well I think so, I do not have a 4 year old

Hugs are very important!! He gets plenty of them. Here's hoping that he takes some guitar lessons too. I am not normally that bad :0)
