There's always those that would either take it seriously, unable to process the jokes, then write an essay style response comment about all the people and things they hate, making everything awkward, or those that might take it personally and again, make everything awkward. Then there's timing. This place doesn't seem as stiff as it used be, but now the material is mostly outdated, especially the covid stuff.

If I hate those essay responses! The ones that don't get it and feel they have to belabour the point.

You are right though, the place is less upright in that regard. In the older days a satirical or tongue in cheek post could have seen you get a good downvote spanking from the odd mad whale. I am glad that it isn't quite like that now!

The COVID stuff is funny to see. The backpedalling and the Joanne they spouted then 🤣

I don't mind lengthy response but only when it makes sense to be there.

And yeah, if someone doesn't get the joke, it's not the writer's fault. Ever go to a comedy show? Look around the crowd, there's always at least one looking confused and unable to laugh. Some even become angry, most likely due to being frustrated. All in all they just look like a moron. Downvoting jokes makes you that moron. People wised up it seems. Not so uptight for sure.

Covid. Blah. All I learned from that is if there's another disease floating around, humanity is fucked. It'll be riots first day.

I don't mind a good long un myself. Just the type where someone doesn't get it and repeats themselves over and over. Especially when they are taking bilge because they don't get something.

Isn't it funny how sometimes the person looking round not getting it is in the most expensive seats?

I think they call that, "Dumb Money."

Dumb money is that which gets spent the hardest!

So this is probably the wrong time to segue back into Splinterlands right?
