Between the lines

The Almighty God has bestowed people with different inborn skills such as painting, oratory, communication, writing, and singing etc but of all of them, the one I adore the most is reading between the lines. The ability to foresee what is going to happen in future is such a great skill that tells you how to plan your life, how to go about things and how to change your decision when you need to change it.

In our country, most people think that these wise people are closer to God and God directly instruct them what to do and what not to do. What could be right and what could be wrong for them and for the people around them. People go to these people and often find spiritualism in them thinking that they have knowledge of unseen. I am not judging anyone’s connection with God nor I want to be a hurdle in their spiritual connection with the Almighty but I am of the view that only God has the knowledge of unseen. The people who are considered as the guardians of unseen have indeed been gifted with wisdom by God.

Let me tell you an interesting analogy described by one of the controversial analysts on a News Channel while talking about one of the great poet and philosopher of the 20th century: Allama Muhammad Iqbal. I don’t agree with the worldview of that analyst but I definitely agree with the analogy that he described and I gonna write it down. He said that some people say that Iqbal had the knowledge of unseen but it is not true. Instead, he had the wealth of wisdom and this wisdom made him able to see things from a different perspective compared to the common people.
For example, a person standing on the mountaintop can see things from a wider perspective than the people standing on the earth. The people standing on the ground may think that the person standing on the mountaintop has the knowledge of unseen but this is not true. The person on the mountain can see things clearly and can even predict where a particular person is going or returning from. This analogy best describe the great inborn skill of wisdom. Wise people can better predict and can better describe the situation around them because they are at a much higher stature than the common people.

This reminds of a real story which personally happened to me. I was with two of my class fellows. One of them was my close friend and the other guy was sort of jealous of us. He would always boast of his wealth and class stature. One day he said,”Do you eat?” while we were eating in the dining hall. I thought he is just cutting a joke but in fact, he was taunting me and I was so simple that I did not pick the hidden meaning. My friend argued with him and when we came out. I asked my friend why he argued with that guy. He asked me if I did not get what that sentence means? I said I did not get the meaning of the sentence”Do you eat?”. My friend said that he was taunting you for your poverty and that sentence meant that do you have enough money to buy food? I was like why I did not get the sentence. Then I thought my friend has some wisdom and he can clearly understand sentences I don’t.

Wisdom is God-gifted. One can polish it but I don’t think that one can acquire it. Always sit in the company of wise people because society molds a man.

Lots of love. Stay blessed Steemians.

I was just speaking on this earlier! Wisdom is a gift for sure! In my country, we call people who claim to speak for god false prophets. Which is why I found the Mormon church disgusting.
