RE: Alcoholism: 54 Days Sober. The Cravings Are Strong Today.

in #life8 years ago

Thank you for your genuine revelations @lexikon082. Bloody well done to realise and admit when you're not doing well, find an avenue like this forum to vent these vulnerabilities and move past the immediate.

What you're attempting is no easy feat. I rememeber my wife studying drugs and alcohol as part of her psych studies at uni and the message was clear that alcohol is the most nefarious little bastard out there... so you're perfectly justified in finding this hard.

Makes it even harder when there's so much social acceptance for the stuff. I'll keep my eyes out for your posts and try to encourage you along. Keep up the great work 👍

Lots of info in your post @nolnoclluap. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I appreciate the encouragement.

Thank you for your support in my sobriety adventure. As a thank you I will enter you into a drawing for 50 SBD. Celebrating 75 days sober today.

Thank you kindly @lexikono82. What a good idea to celebrate the milestone. Congratulations.

In fact may I also say while we are chatting that you've inspired me to steer clear of social drinking and all manner of alcohol consumption myself.

I see no need for even small amounts of this damaging substance so for some weeks now I've completely cut it out and feel better for it.

I think of your efforts from time to time when pondinging my own little "adventure". Keep up the good work!

Wow, I have been blown away. I am honored to have been that motivation for you. It is truly a dangerous substance and society accepts its consumption which allows for people to downplay its effects. So glad you are one who realized how harmful it can truly be. Stories like yours makes the road that I lived worth it. Thank you for sharing.

It's a pleasure mate. Thank you also. Looking forward to more sharing on this common topic and a mutually shared perspective.
