Long Beach, 2014, I must've rocked that album for two weeks straight. Went down to Queen Mary one night to see him. Helluva show. Dudes named Futuristic and Devvon Terrell opened for him. I'd never heard of either of them before that night but when they did this cover song, I was hooked.
Was a big fan of G-Eazy ever since and then he released Everything's Strange Here back when we were all locked down. I was like "yes! Show me what you've been up to in the studio during lockdown."
Play. Got a couple seconds into track one and pushed FF. Track 2 - FF—stat! 3 - FF!! 4, 5, 6 - FF FF FF! 7 - Wtf?!
2014 was an interesting year for me. That's the year I got back into this art stuff. A lot of things changed for me that year. Anything that popped up with the potential to steer my life in a different direction, I took. All kinds of crazy ideas and I'd just roll with it. What a rocky start...
O F yes. Story time.
