LOCKING PEOPLE OUT - HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Finally, we can lock people out... Happy Thanksgiving!

Actually, we've been meaning to install a secure gate for some time now, but it was the neighbor's dog coming over and causing trouble that finally gave us the encouragement to complete this project. Simply put, our homestead is not a bathroom for the area animals.

Due to things like sunsets and rain, this project took longer than it needed to, but with a wide variety of resources on hand and nearby, we've got the job done! A few things will need to be added later, but for the purpose of videos, this is a wrap! We hope that you enjoy the video, and from our family to yours, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

        How long has your gabion rock wall been up, how do you guys like it? Also how is your hand doing?

        We've been working on it for a while (and it'll be a while before it's completed) but over a year for some portions of it so far. We really do like it and the hand is doing very well! Amazingly, it's been a full recovery!

        What are the proposed dimensions of the wall. (what is the height, the width, and the length) Are you guys building it all with rocks that you find on the property...I thank GOD that you have not experienced a reduction of mobility in your hand!

        Also make sure to tie the sides together so the walls will not bulge as the rock pile gets higher ;)

          I've always said farmers and homesteaders have no need for a gym, taking care of the animals/land will keep you pretty fit. :D Your children are excellent workers, I love that even your youngest helps (between amphibian spotting and captures), you and @mama-pepper should be very proud of them and their work ethic. :D They are fantastic and that's because of you two. :D
