Once again, my friend and neighbor @bluerthangreen comes to the rescue!
Actually, it is rather fitting, since he really likes superheroes. I mean really really! One thing I've definitely observed about this man in my time knowing him is that he truly loves others, is willing to help, and goes the extra mile.
MY POOR, POOR DEAD TRUCK
So, my poor, dead truck was left up in Missouri over an hour away. While I was skilled at driving it all over the place, I am not capable of moving a non-running vehicle. I just don't have any experience. With all of the vehicle trouble that @bluerthangreen has been having with his vehicles though, he's unfortunately gaining a lot of experience.
The generally idea was pretty basic: put the truck in neutral and pull it onto the trailer. We had a pulley and some ratchet straps, so although the truck is heavy, we were able to get the job done.
It was late in the day and raining, but I had to get it home soon. I had left it in the parking lot of an auto mechanic, and he kindly gave me a few days to take care of it. Thankfully, with the help of @bluerthangreen, I was able to remove it in a timely fashion.
Eventually after much effort we had the truck completely on the trailer. We then put it in park and locked it in place with some chains and straps. I've got a wonderful trip to take today, so I wanted to cross this task off of my list. Thankfully, @bluerthangreen is lending me his truck and a trailer today so I can take care of some other business, but I'll share more about that later.
WILL WORK FOR FOOD
After we were loaded, I wanted to treat my friend and helper to some dinner. I had actually met him at a job site and helped him finish some work before we headed to get the truck, so I knew he had not had dinner. We stopped at an Arby's restaurant. I like it because they have a little pepper bar right there in the store. Plus it gave me the chance to buy @bluerthangreen a BIG milkshake too.
Did I mention that they have some wonderful sauces too? LOL! Anyway, in the end we finally made it home safe late last night, and today I'm off on another adventure. Hopefully I won't ruin his truck in the process. Thanks @bluerthangreen!

That's one of the reasons I love him too! I've never met someone who is so willing to go the extra mile.
In this day and age it's so easy to just do what you have to do. We often say to our children and remind ourselves in the process, "It's not what must I do, but what CAN I do." When we have the ability to bless someone or go the extra mile, what a rare and beautiful thing when we do. Whether that be sharing extra trees or plants, removing unwanted snakes, being there with mechanical resources, chasing down hogs or sheep etc etc...it all becomes beautiful when we share our lives with each other.
Amen to that. He's put on a lot of extra mileage by going a lot of extra miles.
Yes, God helps those who help themselves. Neighbors in my side of country are know as half body.
The relationship with neighbors or friends had depleted in this fast world
Its nice old is gold
Good luck friends,Have you got a new car.
Papa with some touch from the expert (engineer) the dead truck can raise again
a good description and could be a motivation for others
Very good you go somewhere with your dad's truck and enjoy it with
Now the truck? Strange turn of events the last couple days.
Hey man I know the feeling. I bought a Ford Explorer 2006. I was one of the first on my Island to buy this model when it first hit the market. My daughter grew knowing that I had this SUV. She even named it "jeepy'.
I was at the Talk of the Town for a while. Everyone believed in import cars but I believed in my good All American Muscle.
I had to let it go a few years ago. Everything was going wrong and I couldn't afford to buy the parts. I was newly married and out of work. When I finally let her go I could see how sad my daughter was. I wanted to be macho, however I have no choice but to express my feelings. I was just sad to let her go.
Hope you can get him up and running my friend! Don t give up on him he's depending on you!!

this is the wealth that I have.
The picture of you being sad is very funny.
Oh wow! What happened to the poor thing? :0
Oh what happened to the truck friend? I hope you fix it soon. You should always place the car box in neutral so the machine can pull and drag the car and upload it to the platform in my country we say to that winch device and by the way we can not do that only the government and companies can do registered with permits to tow cars if the police see you doing that we must pay a fine. that sauce you ate was also pepper? wow
Those who shine their light on the path for others cannot keep it away from themself. You have always been a huge help to everyone mostly, so it is normal for help to gravitate towards you. You are an amazing helper and a great human too. I respect that a lot, about you. Well done Papa. Your influence spreads like fragrance.
I am really sorry about your truck. I know you are still keeping it since it still gets the job done. I hope it gets fixed in no time. Well done sir.
Aww! Poor truck! May it rest in peace! I don't think it owes you anything. It has managed really well for a long time. I keep praying and babying my poor 18 year old Kia along...
I can imagine the stressed completing this task @papa-pepper.
Soooo sorry about your truck. Maybe you can get something else soon. Good Luck :o)
