RE: Spam: an animation

in #life7 years ago

I'm a newbie. I started posting my first article last 18th of July. I learned that in order to interact with other Steemians, you have to leave a comment in their posts. Your animation is telling me that we should stop posting unnecessary comments? Is that correct? If I'm wrong, can you please elaborate? Thank you in advance. :)

@pinaynomad What @meesterboom is referring to is comments such as:

I upvoted you please upvote me OR
I am following you, follow me. OR
Here is my blog check it out http: myblog.com/myname(just an example not a real link)OR
Nice post OR
Wow

So what you are doing, asking questions, interacting leaving a comment is all encouraged...just not the examples I mentioned earlier...and welcome to steemit! :)

Thanks for the explanation. I get it now. I will do my best to follow the guidelines. :)

Oh not at all. Commenting is to be encouraged! But at the same time you should only really comment if you are going to add something. Saying nice post for example will not win you any fans.

However this post isn't really about that. It is about people upvoting their own spammy contents for the money. Excellent.g. putting no effort in.

Ahhh, gotcha! Thanks for the explanation. Upvoting their own comment is funny and pathetic at the same time. It's like complimenting their own article. Kind selfish noh? :D

Yas indeed!
