Many people cannot complete their day without having a smear of delicious jam on their bread breakfast. Jam is one of the most highly consumed by people when it comes to delightful sandwiches from strawberry jams to the rarest fruit jams in the world.

Jam is indeed yummy and sweet that it can make a perfect kind of sandwich during breakfast and snack. But what most people don't know that consuming Jam is actually unhealthy.

Jam contains loads of sugar and other form of chemical sweeteners that enhances its flavor which then results to higher consumption of sugar. This can put a person at high risk of acquiring Diabetes Mellitus threefold. Furthermore, a substance called Pectin is added to preserve the sticky consistency of the Jam and it serves as a natural fruit fiber. Pectin is harmful to our body because when being metabolized, it adheres to Antioxidants within the body. The Antioxidants will not be metabolized and used up by the functioning body systems because it has been engulfed and stuck by Pectin which is then flushed out of the body through excretion.

Consuming Fruit Jams may not be harmful unless eaten occasionally. Anything too much can also be dangerous indeed.

The organic nature and freshness of Fruit Jams may not be guaranteed because canned and jarred food products are often added with something that keeps the food seemingly fresh.

seriously jam isn't the problem, jam with chemicals conservatives additives and others is, natural jam is healthy sure once a week or so, the problem is sugar not moving enough and still it would take you 20-30 years to get diabetes, referring about the pektin, this i just a overview and I won't state the benefits of it, but look for yourself

NOW please double check your statements before saying something is bad.

And btw pektin can get out more toxic heavy metals than most things, so no getting antioxidants in is easier than taking out harmful cancerous heavy metals out, therefore pektin will help, if you use it correctly, also trust me everything in the shop is bad if jam is the problem. With all of the processing everything natural is already dead at least five times, then you add in the additives and viola cancer and allergies toxicity and extra diseases :)
