Not a bad assessment.
are you writing for an income or for your self-expression?
Both, and at this point, moreso for the income. Which accounts for the ambiguity you sense in the second point - and the burnout.
And that suits the third point well also - a pattern I found myself in numerous times with DJing, as it also lost the appeal when fully shifted from doing it as a passion to relying on it to (barely) pay bills.
And when the market dips like this, it’s extra tough as the income takes a huge hit - whereas when the SBD flows more abundantly, it takes a lot of the pressure off and better incentivized the unrestricted self-expression.
Quality problems, perhaps.
Hmmm, might it be the case that if one were to let self-expression flow without considerations of income from the self-expression, then not only would self-expression flow, but an income will also be generated. It seems clear that appeal would likely get lost when there is a sense of obligation and it being a chore.
Not sure that I agree with the notion of quality problems, although that is for you to say! Is it not more to do with free-flow and what corrupts free-flow?
And, since, we're having this conversation, are you actually reliant on steemit for an income? I mean do you not already have enough (abundance think)? Are you wanting to accumulate for a rainy day (scarcity think)? - these are rhetorical Qs, I'm not doing anything other than continuing these 'musings'!
Yep. :-)
