I'm so glad to hear you have a plow. I wasn't sure if you were doing everything sort of Amish style in your homesteading, although I noticed you had a truck and not a horse and buggy :). I have great admiration for those that can do that, but sometimes I wish they would let technology help a little.
I was never able to capture the groundhog that was living under my porch unfortunately. My kitties would probably turn their nose up anyway. Try seem to enjoy only the most costly cat food I can afford. It's a good thing the BF and I like food off the dollar menu at McDonalds so we can afford the best for the kitties :)
Oh my land no, the only time we do things without electricity is if a tree falls on the power lines or the freezing rain ice build up breaks the power lines. :D We'd like to eventually be off grid but still want to have power. :D
Yes I agree, you have to be very strong in spirit and body to be able to live without electricity and modern conveniences. Of course people that live like the Amish will be better off when the economy crashes so God bless them for being so prepared. :D
One of our grand-puppies Mya is a great catcher of mice, moles, etc...if she see's it and catches it they don't have a chance at all, poor things, but she's so happy when she catches something. :D LOL. We spend a lot on food for our puppies, grand-puppies, chickens, cows and piglets, so we're not swimming in cash either but we haven't been to McDonalds in a long time. We'd rather save up for a special evening out or go to A&W once in a while instead. :D I hear you though, we sacrifice a lot for our furry family members sometimes but the love they give in return makes it worth it. :D
God bless you and your family (two and four-legged). :D Have an awesome day my friend! :D
