RE: How I Became A Digital Nomad

in #life7 years ago

This is great! I finished my thesis on digital nomads this year and it is still great to peek in and see what's up on the nomadic field. I used to communicate a lot through Facebook, but it' great that there is also a community growing on Steemit!

Keep it up! I am jealous and aspire to become a nomad in the coming years :)

Do it, @sjennon! Becoming a nomad was one of the best decisions of my life. Just keep it a priority and it will happen. Congrats on booking your world trip! . . . January will be here before you know it :) SUPER interested in that thesis of yours - is it somewhere I can read it? I love UX/UI and need to learn more < can you suggest a few of your blogs on this topic (I didn't scroll all the way down your blog list).

When I finish that trip, I am looking more than forward to starting my life as a slow-nomad. Just a bit of everthing :)

There is currently nowhere where you can read it, also its unfortunately in Dutch. I sent it out to a couple of my English friends by using this instant pdf translator. The translations are a bit off, but I think you can still get the gist of that.

What are you looking for when it comes to UX and UI? So far I only did two reviews on Steepshot and the Steemit signin (basically just pointing out some UX basics and my own irritations though).

Those two reviews would be a good start. I want to review the basics you have. My passion (professionally speaking) is improving conversion rates on websites and UX/UI play right into that.

Oh that sounds interesting! Conversion rates are pretty important.. It's always best to have close contact with the client to figure out what they want and desire. There is no such thing as good UI because it's dependant on the target group.

Ah! good point. Yeah, understanding the target audience demographic is SO important. I don't think a lot of businesses understand that niche focus is key. NOT trying to be everything to everyone.

NOT trying to be everything to everyone.

AMEN!
