This is not just hijab. This is a life style where these people think they know the best about everything and do not respect any other ideas rather than their religion tells them. Of course I would never attack these people but I would not try to talk to them, either.

In the Netherlands government workers in the civil bureau in Amsterdam have been banned from wearing skirts to accommodate the islamic modesty.... Where are the people, the media, fighting for the women of the western world to retain their freedom to NOT be covered up if they so choose.
I don't care what people do or do not wear, freedom should be for ALL. Children are no longer allowed, in some schools in the Netherlands, to take HAM to school because it is offensive to Islam. Freedom? Disappearing one little rule, one school at the time...

To stop islamophobia, you should get near the Muslim and talk about relevant topics, like female genital mutilation. Or ask about her most recent rape incident and how she is forbidden to bring shame upon her family by trying to escape this cult. Actually, don't bring that up or she'll get decapitated in broad day light.
As an English woman living in Cairo ( 96 million) and 2 teenage daughters I can tell you that some Muslim men and WOMEN need to learn to be tolerant to other CULTURES. We have been stared at, commented on and sometimes just ignored- why ?? because we are white, not covered and we are female out with out a MALE ESCORT! (husband working) - Middle Eastern men feel its perfectly ok to stare at as you walk towards. pass and a quick look behind for last stare -( eyes undressyou) without any embarresment, make a comment ...what they are not prepared for is the retaliation they receive from a tetchy teenager and and annoyed mum. It does stop them to a degree. What puzzles me is the women, from one woman to another why ?? Its your choice to cover up and I understand the reasons behind this - modesty to stop other men staring and making comments to you - BUT ITS NOT MY CULTURE OR CHOICE to cover up, we are considerate when out and about and we cover our shoulders and to our knees, so why do you feel its also ok to comment, stare in disgust ? Women wearing Hajjib or full Burkah is their choice, I dont judge, I actually understand the reasons behind this, therefore when you are in another country, try understand why the women and men of that country do, wear , eat the things they do -ITS THEIR CHOICE!-On most occassions we have found 'other Muslims" really open, tolerant and outright friendly towards us. Its a small minority that judge and let the rest of you down...I am pretty tolerant and go about my life not judging, but when its openly hostile then sorry you will get a response!
If everybody behaved like this world would be a much better place.
Thank you for sharing this material, I like what you posted. Thank you so much
thanks for stopping by @jlufer
Humorous yet saddening to know this is the reality in which we live.
I'm muslim and I accept your opinion, so thanks for sharing :)
IMHO Islam is a religion that cannot just adjust to the modern age. If we are still living in an ancient or medieval period, it would be a great religion for bringing law and order among people. But now, it just stifles the human spirit, the concept of individual human freedom and scientific innovation.
well... like every other religions (the Catholic church did a great job to take over at the fall of roman empire... but people never becomes free until states (at least some) declares themselves independent from it)
