There's a direct correlation between cost of living and the popularity of steemit in certain countries, Venezuela, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Philippines come to mind. We'd probably see more people from CIS/Russia if golos didn't exist.

Haha in Venezuela you can live as a KING literally with an income of 1000USD a month.
