Did you see the news about Toys R Us to close all of their u.s. stores? What does this mean for you and me and what should we do to learn from it?
In this video I share three important lessons that can help you in your work. You can learn from the mistakes that they made by doing these three things.
Let me know what you think I look forward to hearing from you with your comment below.
Hi Terry this is really good information. "what is valuable to them" I shall remember this and keep it as my mantra. sometimes its the little things that make the big impact. This is certainly one of them. Thanks
Thank you very much, @nitego. Glad it was helpful to you. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Terry
It means kids will have to find another place where a kid can be a kid.
Just kidding ;)
You are good, @movievigilante! Thanx for your very witty comment. I love it!
Those who want to be successful must learn to make mistakes so that people do not fall into it
You are preaching our most beautiful tips so we do not make mistakes in some
You are always providing us with the best information to be successful and lasting
This is not about mistakes. This is about not searching out the competition and being complacent.
All the best!
Yes, @freedomshift because, as I say in the video, if you become complacent (I didn't use that phrase) you're in big trouble. Very good to hear from you and thank you for your comment.
I know what you meant. ;-)
My father owned a jewelry store many decades ago in Hong Kong, and before that, in Shanghai, so, I have witnessed the changes that impacted his business in a few short years and the consequences of not watch out for them. He did not adapt at all and was "washed out" so to speak - very sad ...
Cool story. I don't mean the "washed out" part. Everybody washes out eventually. Thanks 4 posting.
no worries - it is a lesson in life's changes and challenges.
Absolutely. They are not closing down because they did not learn from their mistakes but more for being set in their old ways not being relevant to what the people wanted.
Thank you, @roselover. Yes, I think we can learn from the mistakes others make and adjust our own way of doing what we do. So nice to hear from you again.
Thank you my dear

Good points, @terrybrock!
Malls are closing. Sears is closing in that mall. Sams just closed several stores. I think also Walmart stores. Not to mention all the other stores that have already closed.
In my profession, it has been taken over by "outsourcing" and then ...
... "they are here!"
Go see who they are hiring in major financial institutions ...
Yes, it is part of a changing market. Today we're seeing online sales continuing to overtake traditional stores. If someone is employed in those retail bricks and mortar stores, it can be very sad to lose your job. However, that means that other options will open. Thank you for your very good points, @freedomshift.
good point.
Thanx!
