Let's Talk Disappointment

Let’s talk!!

Ok so how many times has life thrown you a curve ball? Big ones or little ones?
Regardless they can toss you off kilter a little.

I was going strong on my fitness plan, hired a trainer- was going great! Then I started having some major stomach issues (which I deal with on occasion due to my lack of gallbladder). I knew it was time for a little detox/nutritional reset to get my body back to a good baseline!

I was concerned that my workouts would have to take a backseat until I got my body feeling better.

But see- that’s why you bring people in to partner with you! I talked to my trainer and he gave me all kinds of ideas and modifications to keep my body going strong and to keep my muscles in check!

Friends! This is why accountability is important! Not to just report your good days and bad days- but to truly allow people to come alongside of you and help you through your journey to your goals!

THAT is why I LOVE what I get to do as a health coach! I get to come alongside people (who allow me to) and help them achieve what they want to achieve!

And you know what?! EVERY SINGLE client who actually partners with me and does their part sees results!!! Once they step away- and walk out of that partnership- they tend to waver!

Bring people in! Allow them to help you, lean on them when you are struggling! And I promise- you will succeed!!!

Great advice, I'm currently looking at my bf who I've been trying to inspire to get out more and that works fabulous, as long as I go with him, as soon as I have something that makes me stay inside, he will too. We try to make up for it the other days though and we even got ourselves a smart watch to keep track of our activity :)

Of course! Taking that first step is always the hardest, but set a goal and baby steps to it!

You're correct that accountability is important. I'm a member of the Saturday Savers Club on Hive. Our members gather to share tips and ideas. Also, we report our good and bad days, wise and not-so-wise choices. But the key is engagement and accountability looking forward to sharing. When you're in it together, it make it easier to accomplish your goals.

Thanks for sharing.

Take care.

100% So glad you have accountability and a great community for support!

Very good advice. Not every day is the same and it's good to know how to deal with struggle or have someone who can help you. The motivation for working out is not a problem for me, but I know enough people who can't motivate them self and need a partner. Therefor they go into a fitness studio while I can easily workout at home. When I learned for my fitness trainer license, I got so much input why training is important and why we have to move our bodies. I worked out before but that gave me another push. Seeing people in my age who struggle with movement and health motivates me to work out and to look more often what I eat.

Bring people in! Allow them to help you, lean on them when you are struggling! And I promise- you will succeed!!!

I guess that is the difficult part. Asking other people for help.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I'm happy to hear that you are able to reach the goals you have for yourself! It's so important to ask for help, but agreed- also so hard at times.

Thank you! You are often scared to ask, but after you do, you realize there was no reason to be scared.

That is great advice and something with which I struggle. I have a hard time letting people in. I know I can't get it all figured out on my own but I still don't always like to ask for help.
It is better than suffering in silence all the time though.
I am happy your experience turned out well and it sounds like your clients are doing well from having you as a partner.
