Much truth in what you said here, and strangely I am also hoping to find a place where Papillon can set its roots, to grow in tandem to the seeds of good that we will sow. We don't want to invent a new wheel, as we need to find a needy community that will appreciate all of our efforts. Raithby was mentioned by the Chairlady of our board, and we will go to check out the lie of the land over there soon.
Such is life.

I am sure that you will find it. There is so much unjust suffering in the world that it will not take too much effort to find those who need our help the most.
I had a wonderful discussion yesterday with a young fellow who was so interested in philosophy yet he did not have any education in it. It just shows the need for intellectual discourse in our society, yet few offer these young people the opportunity to help them formulate these questions and answers.
As I am ready my friend, and while I wait, I am building my account very well on hive, until the time comes to put it all into Papillon. From there, even if I am no longer on this planet, It will give Papillon a great future to build some special projects. Papillon's board members are all very experienced, and some great things are going to take place.
All that youngsters need is a willing ear and a bit of care. You did well to have a discussion with that young guy, and it's such a pity that our education systems are not up to scratch. 30% to pass, means that they don't know the other 70%. Intellectual discourse is sadly non-existent, and maybe you could do something about it.

That is my goal, to get public intellectual discourse going again. I want to to private face-to-face work as we have already discussed, but if things plan out there is so much opportunity to do public lectures free to all to visit and listen and discuss.
That is wonderful news, and I am sure that you will see the fruits of your hard work! It is amazing work you are doing, and I am fortunate to see what you have done already!
That will be so great, as it will really stimulate participation among the youngsters.
Thanks, and the scripture states that one will plant, and another will water, so I am not one that wants to see the fruits. All that I want is to do something that will benefit the lives of the poor. Others can then continue with it.

There is a saying in I think the middle east that alludes to this! The father plants date trees so that their children's children might get fruits. It is a slow progress and we need to make that leap of faith that others will continue our work. As you said, we can only make the soil fertile and allow the seeds to have good nutrients, others will need to water and nurture the plant.
There is also a verse in the Bible that speaks of it. One can only do the best that one can in this life, and hope that the next generation will continue with it. Maybe they will if it's good and if it's bad, then it will simply fall away. !LOL

For sure, we can only do so much! And it is much more important to help others create good soil, rather than try and spread seeds where one goes. I am sure we can reread the parable of the seeds in this light as well. Good soil is so important.
