Thought I'd give you another little experiment with song lyrics and a little backstory from a song writer.
...................
I have always been keen on Monster/Horror Movies , and have made a study on where they come from ( will actually write a story for this on where Vampire and Werewolf legends come from )
Coming back from visiting my Grandchildren about 2012... Rachel very keen on Barbie Dolls. Stopped at a Robot and the first line popped into my head, next Robot the next line, next robot the third line. While wondering about this , the last line cropped up , then I knew what this was about.
I featured this as a Guy who stays on his own on the outskirts of a small town with a few empty houses/ cottages around him.
No immediate neighbors and then Ken moves in across the road from him and they become friends and this story-line for the Lyrics takes place over a few months until coming to the unexpected conclusion.
One may gather that this is not biographical as I hate gardening!
I once mentioned this idea to a member of a local band called the Jet Black Comaro's and CJ asked me to please stop as all the hair on his body was standing up. This immediately made me realize I had been successful in what I wished to achieve.
The first song I ever wrote back in about 1977 was called Harry ( Harry the Axeman) where I first did the Melody and then the Lyrics . This was about Jack the Ripper's fictional younger brother who never received any publicity and was really upset about this and (In my Opinion) deserved to be more famous (or infamous).
The Ken Did It :
Chorus:
Ken, doesn't like his photo taken
Ken's not very sociable at all
Ken is a real quiet good neighbour
He hides his trophies behind the wall
Brand new person, moving in to town
Must go ask him if he'll come around
Just across the road from Me
Doesn't seem to have no family
Moving in with lots of big lockers
But I don't hear no loud BoomBoxes
Keen gardener planting those seeds
No shirking on pulling out the weeds
He even digs in his garden at night
I walk over he starts with a fright
Dont stand out here, have some tea
Walk in with me where we can see
Girls in the town start to disappear
Across the road the sounds I hear
Blood curdling screams is that TV?
laughter like ghouls at a gallows tree
Phone 911 Tell them what I suspect
Blue Flashing Lights come to me direct,
He's across the road can't you see?
What do you mean the killer is me?
Dig up my garden find the remains
Search my house find the stains
must have planted them take the blame
Nobody stays in the place across the lane

Thank you, written years ago and never did anything with it
It's hard to imagine the music though. Dark like what? The Cure? Joy Division?
Feels more punky like the Clash. Rock The Casbah but a little faster.
Big AC/DC fan. Have done the Chorus with a Country feel , recorded it somewhere
