I ran out of coffee this morning - just enough for one cup. I decided to take a macro shot of one of last few grains. I managed to perch it on the tip of a needle (edited out of final image) to take this series of 61 macro shots merged into this one focus staked image.

@brianhphotos
I loved the image deserves my vote.
Thank you.
I tihnk I can focus stack with magic lantern on my t3i, it's been so long since I installed it, don't think I have even used what it offers beyond the audio control when I was using a Zoom H1 with it. Coffee looks pretty disgusting up close :D
You'll have to focus stacking a try - it can be fun. Flowers look beautiful close up but Coffee definitely does not.
Really cool shot. Do you have a Nikon D850? I just read about the in camera focus stacking featur they added.
Cheers,
@kellyjanderson
Thank You. I use my Olympus E-M5II which has a focus bracketing feature. I then use Zerene Stacker software to merge the seperate images together. It really speeds up the process compared to when you used to have to manually adjust focus between each shot.

Not sure that qualifies as 'coffee' but if it wakes you up, what difference does it make? (Full disclosure: I'm a coffee snob barista )
Sweet photo though, you should take a photo of a decaf instant coffee ground to compare
Thanks
You probably wouldn't like a cup of my coffee then lol
wow!i dont think i ever stacked more than 20 ..It came out good.cool photo brian
Thank You, I probably took more than I needed but not really any extra effort these days with the focus bracketing feature built into my Olympus E-M5II. Iv'e found if you use too few images you can get banding in the final image .
