MACROPHOTOGRAPHY - A FEBRUARY LIZARD

When it heats up, my little friends start to come back out!

I was outside working a lot today, which was nice since the temperature hit about 80 degrees and there was a gentle breeze. With the warming of the air, a few creatures are beginning to peak their heads back out. As I was moving some rocks, I saw quite a few of these little brown skinks.

That photo there is about as good as I get with my regular lens. Thankfully after some guidance from @winstonwolfe, I've got a new macro lens to play with. Here are some closer shots of this cute little lizard who came out to play today. Enjoy!

A LITTLE BROWN SKINK IN FEBRUARY

Did you see it?

The lizard was sticking his tongue out at me!

Who, this one? I'm glad that you actually pay attention @otage. That was a hidden 5 STEEM contest, I was waiting for someone to comment on that!

Yes that rascal. Wow... thanks!

What a tame little guy! Our lizards are far too wild to even get near, never mind pick them up!

I had to talk him into it.

Beautiful. The colors look stunning.

You always share something different @papa-pepper, i've never see that shiny lizard in my life.

OH, I've got a lot of different things going on.

What lens you use, the results are amazing sir @papa-pepper :)

CANON MACRO LENS EF-5 60 mm

The result is amazing, I might try to use that lens

Great Lens and shots of the brown skink.

Really amazing work done, in my opinion most of us in our usual life think all these unique creatures as creepy but when we look them with closer vision then we can come to know that every creature on this earth is gifted with amazing features and designs and we should respect every creature and the creator too because the creator of this nature is an artist otherwise we would not be living on this amazing and artistic world. Thanks for sharing these closeup gems.

Stay Blessed.

this animal in Aceh called Tarum Nabi. in Islamic Community in Aceh believe the animal named by Tarum Nabi because it saved Prophet Muhammad in Hiraq Cave hiding from the pursuit of the Quraisy. So, in our community it's prohibited to kill this animal.

Really? I've never heard anything like that before. Thank you.

this post very nice..and great photography...i appreciate your contest..carry on my friend!!!!!!!!!!

He is a tiny little guy. Nice macros, shopping around for a macro lens myself, makes for some really cool shots!
Wish it were 80 Up this a way!

I bet you wish it was 80! Maybe when it gets there, I'll come up for a visit... one day.

That would be FUN!

Amazing at the photos one can get when they have a good camera. Love the shots. Macro is a lot of fun

Yup, I'm glad to have that camera now.

I have micro lens that I get some amazing macro like shots from. I been told I shouldn't be able to capture what I do with that lens, but I love it and have gotten some amazing shots. When people say I am talented I really know that it is more my camera than me. LOL

LOL - I know the feeling.

nice photography of lizard animal photography ie really awsome

&#128088 l & accomplishment!

This very photography feels in the natural world and your language is very beautiful and easy to understand. Success always @papa-pepper

Good job capturing his tongue sticking out! Haha and making it into a gif! Fun! Haha

I just love macro photography. It’s probably one of my favorite things! I have a cheapy macro lens for my phone, but I upgraded phones and I dunno if it’ll still work! I should really give it a try! Tomorrow! Thanks for the nudge! Haha

The lizards out here are fast! Don’t think I’ve seen a skink (yet?)! :)

There are some really cool varieties of skinks out there. Maybe one day you will.

You are very man enough! I cannot imagine myself nearing this....will just pitch race! You have got a gut, sir.

I Like that small lizard <3
I will call it, baby-zard because the name of the owner
is papa-pepper, hahaha.
@papa-pepper

in my place it's called a lizard, you are very lucky to be able to shoot well and clean.

@papa-pepper , Always showing the proof. You love originality. Well done.

sharp as blade , love the skin texture....awesome..
Impressive macro, splendid and Fantastic close-up, Papa-pipper !!! Really nice harmony of earth ..nicely done...I'd like to know more about your equipment which you used for it... Compliments and greetings, Ceren :)

Canon Rebel T7i with a CANON MACRO LENS EF-5 60 mm

thank you so much :)

Hahaha you had to catch it. Fear is just a word. First time i will see the sticking out of the tongue by a lizard. This picture just passed for your entry too hahaha; animal + plant.

LOL! I will have to use it as an example next week!

Perfect! 😊😊😊

Those are really pro taken! The size of lizard shows how hard it is to take those! :)

that looks like a skink.... i love their colorings and those stripes down the sides... used to see alot more anoles when i lived in florida than anything else, an occasional skink...but mostly anoles.

great to see this kind of lizard have never seen such in West Africa

Wow that lizard is way beautiful with it's shiny skin and the pictures quality truly amazing sir @papa-pepper thanks for sharing

In Philippines @papa-pepper, we called that TIMBABALAK... A lot of like that lizard in my place... I am scared with that even it is small! Its the same! Slimy skin... eeww... hehehe...

The camouflage is sure great ,it took me some time to find him out in the 2nd Image !

Beautiful photo. The lizard looked like a giant, until I saw it on your hand :)

Love the gif of the skink sticking his tongue out at us! Cheeky devil! Nice photos with the macro lens. Is it really 80 degrees in the Ozarks in February? That is amazing. I would have thought I would be colder for some reason...It's about 95 degrees here now.

Very nice series!
