@siur I read the whole thing.
Yours is an interesting perspective from a new user. I understand it’s frustrating to use to start with. And that kind of feedback is useful and hopefully noted by Steemit devs.
I like finding new people under the introduceyourself tag. You’ll be amazed at the communities that exist beneath the surface.
There are MANY real humans posting and curating, making real meaningful connections.
STEEM it is not a perfectly oiled machine and no one is saying it is. It’s there is a lot of garbage post. But so is Facebook. And Twitter. But Steem is for many thousands of real users a thriving place.
The STEEM token has so many uses it’s quite amazing. @exyle has many vlogs about just how useful and brilliant the steem token is. I’ll try and dig out a relevant video of his for you.
Success on the platform just needs work; consistency, engagement and giving a shit - and you will be supported.
I’ve earned 80% of my STEEM here. The rest I bought in bits and pieces over the last 18 months or so.
Welcome and I hope your experience becomes better with time. Go follow some interesting people.
And use https://www.steempeak.com for a way better UI. Steemit.com is so old and dated, with barely any features without using an extension.
thanks for the read and for the suggestions. I guess I'll start digging some more
