For all of you asking yourself, well, how do I acknowledge my emotions just like that? It is not that simple.
Emotions are very good at what they are and will always trick you.
One of the fundaments to detect your emotions is to relalize... that they are actually not you. They are happening without your will and you have little to no influence over them.
That's why all gurus say that you have to accept them... It's because you can't change them.
Accepting can help you loose the tension and release them as energy through the body.

That is when we feel at peace.

Possibly but I disagree, you have full influence over them as you will read in my answer to your post link above. You can learn to control the emotions by knowledge and practice. You are correct though in saying they are not you because you are not the mind or body but the consciousness animating the body. Real gurus will tell you this. Amazing, eye of an eagl. Exactly, but they appear on a subconscious level, hardwired into our genes, necessary for survival. But true, many identify themselves as their emotions and the mind, encouraging the mind-emotions battle. A heart and a third eye fighting over the decision of the voice. I will give my best to share the truth, but it is a wise debate that brings true value. As we as humans are not perfect, and words are just a primitive medium of communication

For sure wolf well said, the emotions are hardwired into our genes and drive us along, kicking in for survival.
