This will probably be a bit complicated as steem has many featurees and to understand MB in detail you need to understand steem.
Basically: You have 10 votes each day. And if you give us some of your votes, we pay you. It costs nothing, but the more steem power you have the more we pay you.
In my wallet the categories are steem, steem power, steem dollars, savings and estimated account value. From which of these categories would I be donating to you in exchange for your help? Thanks!
From none of these :) That is the beauty of it. There is a voting power, that steemit does not really show and that is what you sell. It regenerates every day.
I see. You know, you said we get to vote 10 times a day. Do you mean voting stuff up? I think on some days I have been voting different posts up way more than 10 times---not the same posts but like 20 different posts...or more. Why doesn't my ability to vote up get blocked after ten times in a day? I am willing to donate some of my upvote power or allotment to you to try this on a short term basis to see if it helps me. How do I transfer some of my voting power to you to try this? My account balances in my wallet are very small at this point. If this doesn't help me it would be a bummer because I have worked VERY hard at this so far and have spent LOTS of time on steemit this month. Thank you!
The voting power calculations are a bit complex, but essentially you have a buffer of roughly 5 days. So if you vote a lot each vote slowly gets worth a small bit less. And over time that recovers.
Basically, you can vote 20 times but each vote is only half the worth of when you only vote 10 times.
And Minnowbooster uses your voting power when your buffer is overflowing. At the top of this post is a primer that explains in detail how to sell your vote :)

Also, under steam power in my wallet there are two amounts. There is an amount on top and then under that amount there is a larger amount in parenthesis. I feel like I am contributing lots of good posts/content and participating in a valuable way in general but I don't much understand the money part of all of this. Thanks!
