If you need a 2.5$ upvote you search for a 2.5$ upvote and not for example for a 2$ and a 0.5$ upvote. Or am I wrong?
In that case a minnows vote won't be used I think.
Nevertheless I love your idea and even if it is not possible as minnow I will sell my vote if I have more voting power! :-)

As long as your vote is worth one cent you can sell. And we will use it in the way that is most profitable for everyone :)
I sold my vote, but in 3 days minnowbooster used my vote only once. I would like to sell my vote while on vacation, but minnowbooster barely uses my vote.
