Write good comments and you will get good feedback. Save your votes until you are at 80% or more again. Then use them wisely and only when there is a clear benefit to those you upvote and to your self.
Yes, the math is quite complicated on the Steemit platform for the average person. It takes some time to fully understand it and even then I'm not sure I "fully" understand. Often, I think I'm just fooling myself into thinking I do. ;)
