About as shitty as it is everywhere else. Rent outpaces wages by more than 4X per year, gas is over $3 a gallon. Employers still pay minimum for work that requires years of education and experience.
I'm not sure but I've looked into opportunities for the last 6 months and they are all in states with a minimum wage below $8/hr
