Stephan Kinsella on Corporations, Intellectual Property, and more. - Emancipated Human

in #money8 years ago (edited)

I had the honor to talk to one of the smartest individuals and best thinkers of today, Stephan Kinsella, about IP Law, Corporations, what would Private Law would look like and more… as we enjoyed some gin.

Stephan Kinsella is Founder and Executive Editor ofLibertarian Papers, Founder and Director of the Center for the Study of Innovative Freedom (C4SIF), a member of the Editorial Board of Reason Papers, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Molinari Review, a member of the Advisory Board of the Lexington Books series Capitalist Thought: Studies in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Government Wast and Over-regulation Council of the Our America Initiative (2014—). A registered patent attorney and former adjunct professor at South Texas College of Law, Stephan has publishednumerous articles and books on IP law, international law, and the application of libertarian principles to legal topics. Up voted, friend. Great content as usual. Mad respect. Also, I have had conversations with Kinsella. He is a good guy.

thank you, brother. :D
post yours!

I like Kinsella, sometimes I don't understand his legalspeak, but he is definitely one of the people who introduced me to the idea that IP is detrimental. I wonder to what degree Steemit makes copyright less important. Content is posted, properly credited, and paid to the degree of its popularity without having to involve the government.

yea. and also, if you use without crediting it comes right back to you.
pretty amazing.

If only he didn't call anyone who has read the Northwoods Documents or questioned the 9/11 "official story" a "conspiracy nut" he would be too good to be true. I don't understand how someone of his caliber of intelligence cannot understand something like the Northwoods Documents, and what they mean. Willful ignorance is all I can come up with.

What was perhaps missed in this interview, was that "creation" still exists as such even though it is "only rearanging things" because it has to be rearanging for a "purpose"; In other words, creativity is productive (thus independent and nonintrusive) work to "rearange" things.

His distinguishing between government and the state is so important - there are many ways to "govern" society, the state being only one of them. A market will govern and regulate behavior. And public choice theory is looking at ways smaller communities are actually better at governing their environments than larger "governments" (states) outside that environment. Anyway... this is a great interview. Is Kinsella going to join Steemit?

yes, he has helped me learn a ton. especially in that regard.
IDK if he'll join steemit.

actually... i remember... he is on steemit

Do you know his handle?

no. i looked :(

It's good to see more anarcho-capitalists arguing seriously from key concepts established by Ayn Rand! Keep up the work!

Kinsella's views on corporations when he Presented it on the Tom Woods show was really helpful to me and totally educated me on it.

he's pretty damn awesome

This is the guy that moved me from my original pro IP position. Good interview!
