It is hard to forgive what you can't forget...
There are no scarlet letters of the modern world, but there is a burden everyone lives with. The stress and menial day to day can get to any man whom lets it, when one raises the bar for living...one also breaks down the invisible walls which we are all bound by by. We all want enough money to get to the moon and back, but what happens when you realize there is so much beyond that we may never experience.
Life is a conflicting and devastating force at times, but with every action comes an opposite reaction, and that love and happiness fills the void. At times it seems to easy to conquer life, and at times it is the absolute contrary. What do we really know about this planet or ourselves? I am an angry person some days, but it stems from fear and insecurities....who the fuck knows why we are the way we are anyway when everyday becomes a tightrope walk..
I hated the film 'Prometheus' by Ridley Scott. It is a foretelling of the Alien Saga through the initial occurrence on the alien planet, but regardless of all it's bullshit, I loved it's prologue. The introduction of this film shows the birth of life, both alien and sentient. It shows a very interesting take on how we evolved, I won't give anything away but it combines celestial lore with humanity...and it is inspiring and beautiful. End of rant.
Enjoy Pink Floyd's Magnum Opus Below and Chill The Fuck Out...
It's sometimes hard to stay hopeful and positive knowing everything I know. I have to do it though for the sake of the cause, furthering individual liberty, and for my children's future.
"Don't let the bastards get you down." Instead, pick yourself up, drive forward, and make the bastards pay a heavy price.
It's not with sadness or for glory that I fight; I'm fueled by improving the world for those who live on after me instead. I'll die smiling in battle too.
Just two nights ago I was watching the full free movie with English subtitles called "Alatriste" on YT. Within the movie Captain Alatriste, not surprisingly, dies in the end.
My youngest son was watching the end of the movie with me. As the closing scene comes to an end, I saluted the main character. As I did it my son was perplexed and asked what I was doing and why.
I told him I saluted him because he died doing what he does best while defending what he loves. Few people do it. Few people are warriors.
A good quote, from one of the captain's friends in the movie was, "Death's but a formality."
I enjoyed this, thank you. I have found myself standing and applauding at the end of some films, I'll check Alatriste out.
A very productive rant :)
