I think it's certainly doable but it's definitely going to be a hard battle for adoption. If a country like Norway can promote the usage of electric cars by offering free charging stations on the side of the road and tax deductions as well as subsidization on certain EV cars to make them cheaper and more affordable then I don't see why the UK cannot. Sadly a lot of Norway's energy comes from fossil fuels so they're not totally in the clear, but I believe their model is a positive step in the right direction and that the UK could do something similar. We effectively subsidise petrol and diesel by not dealing with the pollution. Refining oil is a dirty and energy intensive process too. We need more efficient use of transport too as the roads will get clogged with whatever vehicles we use. It needs a holistic approach.
