RE: Joshua Tree National Park views

Anna used to love to ride in the truck. She traveled many miles with us... And when we couldn't take her she went and stayed with my daughter and the kids. They were kind of her home away from home and she didn't mind being there with them at all and took over their sofa and made herself right at home.

Sort:

haha! yes I can see that. Jack is King of the sofa and he starts growling if you try to move him off of it!

Anna always had her end of the couch and if Jim and I wanted to sit on the couch also, he would have to sit in the middle. If I did she would try to push me off so that she could be closer to her dad. It would become quite a game with me teasing her about loving to sit beside her and her pushing against me harder. I was tolerated, but her dad was her person.

hahaha! oh my gosh that is too funny! Dogs are wonderful to have around.

The funny part was that she would try to be sneaky about it because she knew she would get told to behave if he caught her doing it. She would wait for her opportunity. It really was a hoot. She knew she had to obey my commands, but I swear that she always looked at me and rolled her eyes and said 'whatever' before doing what I told her to do.

haha! What great fun and entertainment! that is so cool.. I love dogs. Jack is so independent that if you try to feed him or get him to eat something he starts growling and won't eat it. Then as soon as you walk away he'll start eating. He just doesn't want to be told when to eat! Unless it's one of his special treats that he loves then he'll eat those anytime and has no problem being fed.

That sounds like behavior that he learned as a pup. Always keep a close eye on your food!

Yes, he can't be trusted fully! lol..usually he doesn't try to get our food but I think he did once when the wild part of him took over. lol. Generally he's very good and gentle but he can get very fierce if you act like you're going to take a bone or something of his away from him. He's a 2 year old now and hasn't been fixed so I don't mind that he's agressive sometimes, he would attack to protect his territory around the house if threatened by other animals, he's never been aggressive toward people though, he loves everyone.
