Wyoming Mountains

MountainMonday is hosted by the lovely @shasta

From Wisconsin, Wyoming is one of the nearest places to go to be in the mountains. You do have to drive across Southern Minnesota and all the way through the entire state of South Dakota, where you have to get off the 4 lane interstate highways to enjoy the beauty of those states.

These photos were taken in the northwest part of Wyoming near the Montana state line.

Being in the mountains is one of the best things I can imagine. There I can relax, forget and shut off the rest of the world 😉

Thanks for the Tokens, I love being in the mountains, and I know you do too!

If I didn't have my beloved family, I would live somewhere on a mountain as a hermit with internet, I think 😉

You are very welcome @melinda010100 🙂

That doesn't sound like a bad plan! Again thanks, and thanks for your token votes, too!

My family might even agree and visit me from time to time, if I would still earn money for them ... maybe if the Steem prize rises ;) lol

Thank you!

I do see you in the islands enjoying the sea! I enjoy both!

This is the best choice, of course.

Mountains are always good, aren't they?

BEER for you. Enjoy it! Hey @melinda010100, here is a little bit of

I can see why you would like to be in this beautiful landscape of nature, Melinda. I saw smell the fresh air. 😊

Everything out west feels so big! And the air smells so clean! I do love being there. Before he got sick Jim and I had plans to rent a cabin and go out and spend a couple months during the summer. It's still fun to dream about!

I’m sorry you and Jim didn’t realize this dream, Melinda. Jim must have been a great adventurer and you had fun times together.

I don’t think you would really know a person until you spend a couple months in a cabin in Montana with them. ( jesting)

I know he was a wonderful companion and you miss him so much. 💕

Nice view 👍👍💯

Thanks! Mountains are always pretty great!

We only have mole hills here :-)

Ha! But you have lovely countryside not far away, right?

Yes, but I stay on Long Island :-)

I just had tea with a cousin whose daughter and family recently moved to Long Island They love it there!

Amiga una belleza sin igual,la felicito por tan lindas fotos.resteem

¡Gracias, fue maravilloso estar allí!

Gorgeous captures, @melinda010100! While they're all excellent shots, I have to say that third one makes me feel like I'm actually there, looking around at all of nature's eye candy. Thanks for sharing these majestic mountains!

Thanks, Traci! Looks like you have tipu figured out. I need to take the time to read about the changes.

That's really a majestic mountain range .

really beautiful! That is a very long drive, almost as from from here to there!
Long ago was in Yellowstone up near Gardiner was about as far north we got
to then. I really like the rockyness in the last two photos! Thank you so much
for sharing these wonderful 🌄 mountains! :-)What gorgeous mountains, love your photographs of them @melinda010100

Thanks for doing the Mountain Monday tag! ⛰️🗻⛰️ I love seeing everyone's photos!

I wonder how long it takes to drive form Toronto ti nearest mountains. I guess I have to Google that, lol. Beautiful shots Melinda 😊

It would be a long drive, but I'm sure there are marvelous things to stop and see between here and there!

I've been in Blue Mountains but I do not conciser it as mountains at all. However, it is a quite lovely sky resort. They are actually some here in Ontario. I found this link that lists them all. But they are not exactly walking distance, from Toronto, lol. https://traveltips.usatoday.com/famous-mountains-ontario-103105.html

What I have seen of Ontario is very beautiful!

I am happy to hear that Melinda! And I must agree, Ontario is beautiful. I just posed some picks from one of the farms around here. By the way, I saved a few for #featheredfriday 😄

Oh good! I'll be over to see the farm and will be looking forward to seeing what birds you found! 🙂

Thank you Melinda....those birds are coming up tomorrow 😊

Wow, nice shot of Wyoming Mountains photography.

Thank you! I believe all mountain photos are beautiful!

What's wrong with driving through southern minnesota?! Lol, well yes. The highways and interstate cut straight across the flat, featureless plains. Unless you're really interested in endless fields, it can be pretty drab.

Nice photos of the mountains. Did you stop in the Black Hills on your way out there? The Badlands are also fascinating, but very desolate.

I really miss living in Ronda, where I could see the mountains from my doorstep.

Except for stopping to see the Jolly Green giant, that MN I90 route is horribly long and boring. Finally arriving at the Missouri River is always a thrill!

I love the Black Hills, but especially love the Badlands!

I-90 goes pretty close to Pipestone, a national monument! :-)

I was at Pipestone, but it was years ago.

Howdy Melinda! Those are indeed amazing and majestic views! There are still so many areas out there with few people aren't there?

I was rather shocked at how much wilderness had disappeared from when I used to spend time out there in the late 70s. So many gravel roads are now paved and and new roads have been cut and bridges built in places that you couldn't easily drive to in the past.

Oh wow. I wonder if that is a good thing or a bad one? I guess it's good if you need better ways to get around the area.
