Yes, I know that you are thinking this poster is a bit horrible.
As you could guess from this poster, the story of this movie has a aspect of horror. But It is beyond horror.
It can not be described by the simple word "horror movie" and I'm so sorry that I can not find a proper word for describing this movie...maybe..."between horror and sad"?
The motive of this movie is a korean traditional story about two sisters, Jang-hwa and Hong-ryeon, who are harassed by their step mother. If you want to know more about the story of two sisters, Click here! In this movie, the name of the characters are changed to Su-mi and Su-yeon. Su-mi is older sister who loves and so, can not forget her sister Su-yeon who already died.
Watching this movie, you might be touched by not only the story but also the beauty of images and music.

This movie is remade by new directors, Charles and Thomas brothers, in 2009 and the title of remade movie is"The Uninvited"
The main characters are Emily browning and Arielle Kebbel and their names in the movie are Anna and Alex. It is said that this movie makes the most profit of remade korean movies, coming in at third place at north america box office on the first weekend after releasing.
