I can't say as though the plot is very original. I think it has been done about a million times with a million different species. I'd have to say my personal favorite is probably The Journey of Natt Gann. That's just some good cinema right there. Plus they have a young John Cusak, so that is awesome too. Oh, and a wolf! Anyway. Pretty much any movie with a dog is probably going to hold my attention even if the plot has been done a million times.
