Chris Rodrigues & The Spoon Lady – “Angels in Heaven”
“Angels in Heaven” (2017)
A simple but lively blend of various genres, “Angels in Heaven” is a fine example of American roots music.
Spoonful of Blues
It is based on the traditional gospel hymn “I Know I’ve Been Changed.” Rodrigues renamed it and rearranged it, to make it suitable for this pared-down performance – just guitar and some percussion, including spoons, playing country blues / folk.
Recorded in 2017, “Angels in Heaven” became a viral sensation on both Facebook (200 million views) and YouTube (10 million views).

Wall Street Shuffle
In 2013, Rodrigues started performing with Abby the Spoon Lady. In October 2017, they released the horrifyingly titled album “Working on Wall Street.”Rodrigues was featured in the 2015 documentary “Buskin’ Blues,” which focused on various street performers in the area around Asheville, North Carolina. I know I've been changed
The angels in heaven done signed my name [2x] One day, one day, I was walking along
The angels in heaven done signed my name
I heard a voice, I didn't see no one
The angels in Heaven done signed my name
The voice to me, you know it sounded so sweet
The angels in heaven done signed my name
It sounded like Jesus talking to me
The angels in heaven done signed my name And I know, I know I've been changed
I, I know, I've been changed, lord, and I know
I know I've been changed
The angels in heaven done signed my name [2x]
The angels in heaven done signed my name
I'm on my way to the promised land
The angels in heaven done signed my name
If you done believe I've been redeemed
The angels in heaven done signed my name
Just follow me down to the Jordan stream
The angels in heaven done signed my name And I know, I know, I've been changed
I, I know I've been changed, lord, and I know
I know I've been changed
The angels in heaven done signed my name [2x] (Image source)

Glad to see you back finally after going on a much needed sabbatical. Welcome back and cheers to the new Steem!
Here in my country there is very little respect for street artists.
pd: good music!
Too bad for that. I find that street musicians add flavor to the life of a city. Going to concert halls and clubs is OK, but nothing beats fine live music by a busker to lighten up one's day.
thanks for this
Glad you liked it. More coming ... to your ears.
Music has to be one of humans greatest creations
So true.
