RE: And now for something different.

I would have thought Okie from Muskogee was your favorite song but if you don’t like country then I guess not. I don’t like listening to music in the morning or during workouts. I like listening to music while working on projects or at the end of the day to unwind. I like classic country and rock the most although I enjoy listening to every genre. For classic country, I am a California boy and I gotta say that Merle Haggard is my favorite singer/songwriter. Though I also really like Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. I think 90’s rock was the pinnacle of music and I like just about every band from back then. Currently my favorite rock bands are Seether, Imagine Dragons, and Twenty One Pilots.

Haha well if we're pickin a favorite from that genre then it would be Home Sweet Oklahoma by Leon Russel. I should have been more specific, I can get down with some classic country but not really anything produced in my lifetime.
That's interesting you don't like music during your workout, do you just find it distracting? I honestly zone out when I train but I think the music helps me zone out. I like that though, cause I just get laser focused on the workout. And yes, you just reminded me I heard an Imagine Dragons song for the first time recently and really liked it. I need to get some of their stuff.

I’ve never really gotten into modern country either. Yeah I find that listening to music during a workout pumps me up too much and is distracting. I prefer focusing in silence during a workout. I have been listening to Imagine Dragons for years after hearing some of their hit songs on the radio.
