What they label progressive house is another name of trance. Hard Style is hard house started back in the 90's Its the new kids that want to give it a new name to make it popular. DEMF is what underground techno is all about. Tomorrowworld and land is a copy of DEMF. Take a look at all the new to the scene DJ's out there, NO SKILL. Techno had various streams of origin, mainly from Europe - #Kraftwerk influenced most of it at the end of the 1970ies / earlier 80ies - also some sounds along the synth area via UK like Depeche Mode or New Order.
I think you were stumbling on a Google Search I just did as well with some Wikipedia entries around Detroit Techno - so no worries - that might have been when the US picked up the music from Europe.
