Hard to say, especially when I'm not an economist.
Though it's obvious the trade war is causing major disruption to the US economy. There will always be ripple effects.
For one thing, manufacturing costs across a wide range of US product to go up since the US rely on China on alot of raw materials for cheap.
It's getting clear that China is relying less and less on the US, and conversely the otherway round.
Not to mention the US owe massive debt to China.. things might go south if China decides to go loan shark on the US.
