hehe, nice answer! Believe me, that are individuals that obtained true peace but sadly they are only a minority at this point of time
Especially cause we are being pointed in wrong directions every single day, far away from our peace
but peace comes from withing, meaning sometimes you need to turn off your intellect in order to feel it :) you sound like a smart individual but at the same time you are over-intellectualizing same what you did with this question, in the future - try to intellectualize less & flow with the Youniverse a bit more :) you'll realize how peace is simple a consequence of eliminating all the thought that aren't ours but were artificially input in your brain or you collected them through life and associated with them (usually what EGO does)
Inner peace in essence refers to acceptance of... something. Some aspects of inner peace refer to acceptance of one's situation, others refer to acceptance of oneself. In this case, you were referring to acceptance of one's situation - and thereby balancing one's emotions - and that is certainly an important aspect of inner peace.
But... that's not everything. There's another important type of inner peace, that of accepting oneself, and that has less to do with emotions and more to do with constantly striving to improve, and acknowledging one's own accomplishments in that area. **That** is what I was referring to.
