Yes, that tells you the exact opposite of what you claimed. When anyone votes on the 0 minute mark, 100 % of the rewards goes to the author, so of course it's beneficial to vote for yourself as soon as possible. However, if you vote for someone else, then it's best to wait until 30 minutes has passed, so you get maximum curation reward.

In the upcoming hardfork, this will be changed, and at this point it's most beneficial to vote for yourself at the 15 minute mark. At that point you get 100 % of the rewards for your upvote.
