Hi friends,
This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @thesocalhive where we share an aspect of our California.
I was at the store the other day and they had an abundance of chili peppers - jalapeños and serranos to be exact. Maybe it is pepper season around here? I looked up a recipe for a homemade salsa and decided to give it a shot.
The recipe called for garlic and onions to be in it, so I got those as well. After roasting everything together, I added some water and salt and threw it in the blender. Here was the result:
Not too bad! Came out fairly creamy and a nice consistency. I needed more salt to get to my desired taste, and it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be, but still pretty good.
Thanks for coming by and checking out a piece of my California.
Brian

You should do it for winter especially :)
Peppers are rarely found in stores here
We find them on the roadside😅
Chilli contains many proteins but it can also be grown at home and used in vegetables and salads.
Congratulations @brian.rrr, your post won 2nd prize in this weeks
