Hmmm...you're right. Definitely not a Canadian goose. Escaped from a neighbor's farm? Sure looks like a domestic variety to me. We have a whole flock of Canadian Geese in our field every fall. It's like an assembly point or something before they all take off to head south. So, I know what those guys look like (and sound like...Geesh they can make a ruckus when they want to, as well.)
