Yeah, it's Tahoe City, but it's in the mountains and you can see mountains in the distance. This was photographed from a tiny experimental class Kitfox seaplane with the door removed. A happy photo client decided to offer me a flight in his fun little plane as a bonus for a job well done. I of course accepted!
